I am the head coach and founder with 12 years Muay Thai experience, training in Thailand and England, I bring high level coaching to a range of individuals, at all stages from beginners to fighters.

Muay Thai is a tool I have used to empower myself and now it's something I want to give to you. In our first year I produced 2x fighters with more on the way, we've built a small welcoming community and ending our first year by moving into our very own Unit and opening the doors to Gon Muay Thai Academy 05/01/2026.

From our novice class we got young paddy who's been so consistent and works extremely hard in class to improve, with his boxing especially really improving.

And Ubax in our experienced class who's a great character and always showing up, helping novices when she can and starting to show her true potential.

Amazing to drill on a heavy bag too, work the shuffle and start by looking at your feet as they shift into position, to drill the side knee in.

We're nearly 2 months old!

Bookings will no longer be on my story and can be done on my website, please login and bookmark the site to your browser.

You are able to book 72 hours in advance please make sure if you're booking you are 100% attending.

There's been an update to our timetable some minor changes to benefit everyone key points below.

A novice class has been moved to a later time on Wednesday so it's more even between novice and experienced class.

Dutch drills has been moved to Wednesday before sparring day to help you prep for next day sparring.

A break has been put between fighters classes and is now happening on Monday and Wednesday with mandatory 19:30 5k start to warm up and when we get back to the gym we skip warm up, quick stretch and straight into the session.

Thank you for an amazing 2 months team, the progress has been outstanding from everyone and thank you all for making Gon Muay Thai the community that we are.

Rule number 1 and the simplest on our Mat is don't be a dick. Take it or leave it.

For everyone.
Let me repeat - don't be a dick it's not good for anyone.
Leave the ego at the door.

For experienced students.

Respect peoples size and level, if you're someone with a lot of experience and goes home thinking yeah I really pieced that beginner with 1 month training in, then well have a reflection period. In fact I can tell you myself it's an ego issue.

Remember that you were in their shoes once and treat them how you wanted to be treated when starting out in Muay Thai.

For novices:

Be humble and don't panic, panic courses injuries to yourself or your partner.

Accept that you will get hit, you're in a Muay Thai gym. Going in and not expecting to get hit is like wanting to be a swimmer without get wet.

Understand that in my gym if someone experienced especially from the fight team is hitting you hard, it's probably your panic shots and lack of control and that's okay, it's normally just be be aware and recognise it and ask! Don't be shy this is new for you.

Hope that clears how we spar here at Gon Muay Thai, if it's not for you then well shame.

Student spotlight - Rish his come such a long way in a year but what I loved the most was it all only came together at the end of the year, Rish remained consistent and it just clicked the muscle memory kicked in, foundations started settling and we've seen a shot in growth, that wouldn't have been possible without consistency - Rish did a 1-1 and both novice and experienced class yesterday for example. Well done @rish.tk stay consistent and you'll have a great year ahead
